The Seven Spirits of God (from Isaiah 11:2–3)

The 7 Spirits of God (in wonder working power, healing, peace, rest, resurrection, conviction, wisdom, deliverance, new ideas, and much much more)

1. The Spirit of the LORD (His Presence, Authority, Resting Anointing)
2. The Spirit of Wisdom (God’s free, supernatural ideas,  insight for right living )(must resemble James 3:17 and not have fear (2 Timothy 1;7)
3. The Spirit of Understanding (deep discernment, perceiving truth beneath surface)
4. The Spirit of Counsel (guidance, direction, divine strategy)
5. The Spirit of Might (power, strength to act and endure)
6. The Spirit of Knowledge (knowing God’s truth, reality, ways)
7. The Spirit of the Fear of the LORD (reverence, humility, honor toward God)

How These Function in Christ’s Body

Christ is the Head (Colossians 1:18), and His Spirit expresses Himself through different genuine authentic Bible believing real persons, be they praying in tongues and not:

Point: It’s not about the list of God’s 7 Spirits. It’s knowing HIM as Personal Savior and Lord, and then “growing” over time.

It begins with each  persons getting to know Jesus as personal savior and friend, Then reading the Bible, having time apart, along to “relate” to His inner Holy Spirit (the John 16:13 spirit of truth and more)

We advise that each reader personally ask God for MORE of His 7 Spirits (by faith.)

Then we recommend fellowship, Bible study and asking “questions ” of Sent People

Also going to churches, bible studies, conferences, getting mentoring, from  Christian ministers who understand and operate in them (but without control or money making ,false religion,respecter of persons,  or cult spirit)

• Spirit of the LORD → seen in leadership, presence-centered ministry, apostolic/prophetic foundation
• Wisdom & Understanding → teachers, counselors, those who rightly divide the Word
• Counsel → pastoral care, guidance, relational leadership
• Might → evangelism, bold witness, endurance under pressure
• Knowledge → teaching, revelation, doctrine, truth testing
• Fear of the LORD → holiness, humility, integrity across all believers

Each believer may carry aspects, but no one person is the whole—this is Body function, not one-man control (1 Corinthians 12).

Seen in the Book of Acts (this is not a recipe or formula it is really to provoke ideas for more study)

The sevenfold Spirit is not listed as a chart in Acts—but it is demonstrated in action:

• Acts 2 (Pentecost) → Spirit of the LORD + Might (power, boldness, tongues)
• Acts 4:13 → Wisdom & Understanding (unlearned men speaking with authority)
• Acts 6:3 → “full of the Spirit and wisdom” (practical leadership)
• Acts 9–13 (Paul, Barnabas) → Counsel + Knowledge (mission direction, doctrine)
• Acts 5:11 → Fear of the LORD (holy reverence among all the church)

So Acts shows the living expression of Isaiah 11—not theory, but daily function.

• Wisdom & Understanding → worship with meaning, not empty repetition
• Counsel → Spirit-led flow, not performance control

Point: It’s not control, hype, or titles.
Bigger Point: It’s God’s Spirit working through real people in relationship, truth, and humility reverence.
It’s about being a Good Witness, a respectful Messenger, not to win a soul in order to put an eternal notch on your belt or to be a super saint to “convert the sinner”

Rather it is  about JESUS who is the Accepting Savior, and the Eternal Life Giver.
