THE APOSTLE PAUL’S WARNING ABOUT A DIFFERENT GOSPEL

The Apostle Paul gave one of the strongest warnings in all of Scripture concerning anyone who changes the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

What Does “Accursed” Mean?

DEFINITION OF THE :ORIGINAL TRUE GOSPEL” OF JESUS CHRIST

Principal: A person must first be made aware of, trained in the original gospel that Jesus Christ entrusted to His apostles.

The authentic gospel is not centered on a denomination, movement, ministry, church system, personality, culture, politics, prosperity, religious works, or human traditions.

It is centered entirely on Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul loved people too much to let them drift away from the true gospel. He did not attack people just to win arguments. He corrected error because he wanted believers to stay close to Jesus Christ.

When Paul wrote Galatians, he was shocked. Some teachers were adding extra requirements to salvation. They taught that trusting Jesus was not enough. They wanted believers to add Jewish law and circumcision to God’s free gift of grace.

What Are Modern Departures?

Every generation faces the temptation to drift away from Jesus and replace Him with something else.

EXAMPLES INCLUDE:

Replacing Jesus with celebrity personalities and being human face devout yet blind followers

Replacing First Church Jesus free grace with endless religious rules and ministry requirements religious laws which are devoutly held to by the movement, group, church, leaders, followers

Replacing servant leadership with the ambitious seeking of ministry favor, power and elevated  position, income;

Replacing biblical unity with factional, undermining, clannish, cliquish, cult,  party spirit and respector of persons, racist, biased, proud division.

Replacing discipleship with entertainment and fantasy (“we are the Most Gifted, Prophetic Accurate, Well monied” ( I, he, she, we are surely the Next Famous Top Ministry Office”) (lost of track humble relationships, respect for all and long suffering as in taking up and carrying the Cross of Christ)

Replacing biblical correction with public shaming, accusation, gossip, witch hunting, occult divining and naming many “witches, Jezebels in rebellion, church hopper and unsubmitted plus MORE) tale bearing, Judas Spirit..praying against persons with whom you have never once related or proven they are at fault.(Minus meek Galatians 6:1, Matthew 18:15-16, Church of Thyatira Revelation 2:20  the Top Pastor/apostle must one to one up front confront any suspected Jezebel (him or her or FALSE CONTROLLING DOCTRINE which this person does)

Replacing the cross with success, popularity, or personal branding.

Replacing the fear of the Lord with the fear of people.

Replacing Scripture with opinions or trends.

Replacing prayer with marketing alone.

Replacing love with accusation.

Replacing Christ-centered ministry with organization-centered ministry.

 

HOW CAN WE STAY FAITHFUL?

Paul’s answer is surprisingly simple.

Keep coming back to Jesus.

Read the Scriptures.

Walk with the Holy Spirit.

Love the Body of Christ.

Test every teaching by the Bible.

Never allow anyone—even a famous preacher, teacher, prophet, apostle, denomination, movement, website, or internet personality—to become greater than Jesus Christ.

The authentic First Church did not revolve around personalities.

It revolved around the living Christ.

That is still the safest place to stand today.

Whenever the Church exalts Christ, serves one another in love, obeys the Scriptures, and depends on the Holy Spirit, it is walking in the spirit of the apostolic gospel.

Whenever anything begins to replace Christ as the center, it is time to stop, test everything by Scripture, and lovingly return to the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3).

The goal is not to win arguments.

The goal is to know Christ, make Him known, and help others follow Him faithfully until He returns.
