In Blog 1<\/strong>, we traced the origins of the Passover\u2014God\u2019s covenant rescue of Israel using the blood of a spotless lamb. But that wasn\u2019t the end of the story\u2014it was a foreshadowing<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this post, we\u2019ll explore how Jesus Christ fulfilled the Passover<\/strong>, not just symbolically, but legally, prophetically, and spiritually<\/strong>. We\u2019ll look at the Greek and Hebrew roots<\/strong>, walk through the timeline of the crucifixion<\/strong>, and see how God\u2019s ancient pattern<\/strong> became His eternal provision<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a01. JOHN THE BAPTIST’S DECLARATION<\/span><\/h3>\n

John 1:29 (NKJV):<\/strong><\/span>
\u201cBehold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

John the Baptist was raised in a priestly line. He understood sacrifice. So when he pointed to Jesus<\/strong> and called Him the Lamb of God<\/strong>, he wasn\u2019t using poetic language. He was pointing to Exodus 12<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Jesus was not crucified randomly. He died during Passover week<\/strong>, in exact alignment with the slaughtering of the lambs<\/strong> at the Temple.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Matthew 26:2:<\/strong> \u201cYou know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

    MAKING A POINT<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The very hour<\/strong> the high priest was slaughtering lambs in the Temple, Jesus was bleeding outside the city walls<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \u00a03. NOT JUST BLOOD\u2014COVENANT BLOOD<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Hebrews 9:12 (KJV):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \u201cNeither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

    MAKING A POINT:<\/span> <\/span>
    \nThis wasn\u2019t just martyrdom. It was covenant fulfillment<\/strong>. The lamb\u2019s blood in Egypt protected from temporal death<\/strong>. Jesus\u2019 blood provides eternal life<\/strong>.<\/span><\/h3>\n

      At Calvary, the blood on the cross<\/strong> caused eternal death<\/strong> to pass over those who believe.<\/span><\/p>\n
