God used signs and wonders and made huge oracle pronouncements to a select handful of His Hebrew prophets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is why:<\/strong> Jesus had not been sent, so God&#8217;s Holy Spirit did not dwell in many people&#8217;s hearts back then. They needed words from the Lord to wake up God&#8217;s people due to their dullness of mind and hardness of heart, mainly due to idolatry. So, the Holy Spirit fell upon the Hebrew prophets to wake up God&#8217;s people and speak what He felt was needed to say.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This must be repeated:\u00a0 in Christian first church leadershi<\/strong>p, we are not under the law.
